Chris Alger was raised in Texas and California and served in the military before receiving his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington in Seattle. From there he moved to New York, where he received a law degree in 1990 from Cornell. He worked in New York City for several years as a large-firm litigator, mostly representing Fortune 500 companies and large banks. In 1995 he moved to Colorado to devote more time to family and recreational interests. In 2012 Chris shifted his career focus from commercial law to personal injury and disability, which he found more intense, interesting and satisfying. “I always liked the challenges of huge business disputes, but I prefer fighting for sick and injured victims rather than corporations. I naturally sympathize with underdog and am regularly shocked at how insurance companies attempt to exploit the law to avoid their responsibilities, which often require little more than treating people fairly and doing the right thing.”
Chris lives in Westminster and is licensed in Colorado state and federal courts. He is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and enjoys reading, especially about politics and history, skiing, movies, and poker.
